Welcome to The Rest Retreat at Bath Hollow Farm, where productivity takes a backseat, naps are a sacred practice, and lounging in comfy clothes all day is not just accepted—it’s encouraged.

Nestled in the peaceful countryside of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, this mostly silent, all-women retreat is your official out-of-office reply to life. Inspired by Tricia Hersey's Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto, this weekend isn’t just about stepping away from the chaos—it’s about learning how to bring true rest into your daily life long after the retreat ends.

Through intentional stillness, gentle reflection, and space to simply be, our hope is that you’ll leave not only feeling refreshed but also inspired to weave rest into your everyday routine, reclaiming it as a necessity, not a luxury. (Remember what it feels like to be a well-rested human? Yeah, us neither.)

Friday Night: Joyful Beginnings

Friday night is all about getting cozy, settling in, and shaking off the outside world—no stress, no pressure, just pure ahhh.

🌿 Warm Welcome – A mini celebration to kick things off! We’ll go over the weekend details, answer any questions, and make sure you have everything you need to fully embrace rest mode.

🙋‍♀️ Introductions (The Low-Stress Kind) – Don’t worry—this is just a chill and friendly way to get to know each other. No weird “fun facts” required.

📖 Book Chat: Rest is Resistance – A relaxed, thought-provoking convo about Tricia Hersey’s powerful manifesto on rest. No quizzes, no required reading—just a chance to reflect, share, or just listen and soak it all in.

🧘‍♀️ Opening Meditation – A guided meditation to shake off the stress of the week, ground yourself, and ease into a mindset of deep rest.

💤 Yin/Restorative Yoga – Think slow, stretchy, and deeply relaxing. No experience needed—just bring yourself, your breath, and maybe your favorite pair of fuzzy socks.

Saturday: Deep Restoration (a.k.a. The Ultimate Recharge Day)

Saturday is all about rest, renewal, and feeling like a human again—not just a caffeine-fueled to-do list machine. Pick and choose what speaks to you, or just lounge around and soak up the vibes. No pressure, no productivity guilt, just pure, glorious restoration.

🌲 Forest Bathing – No, you don’t need a swimsuit. This is Shinrin Yoku, a mindful, soul-soothing walk through nature to help you breathe deep, slow down, and feel like a woodland fairy (or just a well-rested person).

✨ Reiki/Sound Healing – Let go of stress and soak up some good vibes with vibrational energy healing. Whether you opt for an individual session or receive gentle Reiki assists/Sound Healing during yoga or meditation, consider this your cosmic tune-up.

🧘‍♀️ Meditation – Give your overthinking brain a break with a guided meditation designed to calm the mental chatter. Optional healing assists included—because sometimes, a little extra good energy is just what the soul ordered.


🔥 Astro/Fire Gazing – Gather under the night sky for a powerful experience where we’ll connect with the elements, the cosmos, and ourselves. ✨🔥 Let the fire ground you, the stars inspire you, and the universe remind you of your place within it. 🌙💫​

💤 Yoga Session – A slow, flowy yoga session that welcomes all levels—because moving with ease shouldn’t require perfection.

✍️ Poetry & Writing Prompts – Whether you’re a seasoned poet or just someone who likes doodling in the margins, these prompts will help you explore, reflect, and maybe even surprise yourself.

​By the end of the day, you’ll feel lighter, yet grounded, and ridiculously well-rested.

🤫 Mostly Silent Retreat: We’ll gently embrace the quiet to give your mind a chance to unwind and your spirit a chance to recharge. Don’t worry, there’s still space for light conversation and connection—it’s all about finding balance and giving yourself permission to rest.
☕ Non-Caffeinated Beverages: If you can’t live without coffee, we totally get it—just be sure to sip it before you arrive on Saturday morning!

This is a staycation retreat—perfect for those who live nearby and want to head home for a cozy night on Friday and Saturday. But hey, if you’re in the mood for a full-on getaway, we’ve got an Airbnb on-site and there are a few nearby options too! It’s first come, first served, so let us know if you want the scoop on how to make it a true retreat experience!

🌿 Rest Retreat Terms & Policies (Because Adulting is Hard) 🌿

🔢 Guest Minimum – There is a minimum number needed to make this retreat happen. If we don’t reach that, we’ll refund your money—no stress, no worries.
📅 Cancellation Policy – Life happens! If you need to cancel, let us know at least 2 weeks in advance for a full refund. After that, we’ll do our best, but no promises.
💳 Payment – Secure your spot by paying immediately—because nothing says commitment like clicking “pay now.”
📝 Waitlist – If we hit more than 12 guests, we’ll start a waitlist. Spots will be offered in the order requests are received. So if you snooze… well, you know how that goes! 😉​
